Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence
You will be responsible for the software architecture of the data collection solutions and possibly also of the applications for Android and iOS tablets and mobile phones, depending on your focus and interest. To master the client-side tech stack, we expect you to have knowledge and working experience of some or most of the following technologies: JavaScript, TypeScript, React Native, and potentially also iOS and Android application development. You understand the importance of robustness, maintainability and flexibility in the software, as well as of designing and building products with the end user in mind.
In our projects we work with technologies such as Java EE, JavaScript, React.js, React Native, Node.js, Docker and OpenShift – just to name a few. Join us soon and you will have a unique chance to influence the architecture of the product.
You will work full-time in a dynamic agile team environment: scrum, two-week sprints. Your position will be based in Helsinki, in an R&D team.
Knowledge, Skills & Attributes
We are looking for:
- Strong architectural skills: You have a proven track record of designing and building highly scalable, maintainable, secure and robust software.
- Experience: You have strong knowledge and experience of the modern web application development and perhaps also of the cross-platform mobile client development.
- Communication: You have good communication skills in English, both in verbal and written. You understand the importance of clearly communicating the architecture vision and reasons behind it. You can help and coach your colleagues.
- Passion: You feel ownership over everything you ship. You have high standards in design and coding as well as passion for high quality.
We are also expecting:
- M.Sc/B.Sc Degree in software engineering, computer science or information technology.
- A minimum of 7 years of technical experience in software development environment and knowledge of software architecture design.
